Burst Mode
The burst mode is to be used in the early stages of labour between contractions. This mode creates a pulsing, tingling sensation which promotes the release of important chemicals within the body such as endorphins and encephalins. These chemicals act as your bodies very own pain-killer, helping to ease sensation throughout labour.

You are considered ‘term’, due to birth from 37-42 weeks. A small amount of women, (3-5%) will birth prior to 37 weeks in pregnancy. This hire spans over 36-42 weeks - we’ve got you covered.

“My partner and I went to your class and it gave us heaps of tips and tricks to help our birth of our son.
He was born 2 weeks ago and we had planned to go to St Georges but my contractions started at 11.30pm and so I had my contractions all through the early hours. I used your tips of square breaths which helped a lot. I also had my room dark and music playing which kept me in the green. I had my midwife Sheena come see me around 9am and I was only 3cm dilated so she went away to get her things sorted ready for the birth later when I was more dilated. I kept going with the breathing techniques and used a TENS machine. When Sheena came back around 11.30-12 I was already fully dilated so we ended up having a home birth. I was able to stay in the green and I think that was what helped me get fully dilated so fast. I was able to breath through it and stay comfortable enough that I pushed him out in half an hour and he was born at 1.28pm. I didn’t need any drugs and I really think your class helped me prepare and have ways to cope well enough to make it an amazing birth.”
